OPP Association Attend Funeral To Honour Toronto Police Detective Constable Jeffrey Northrup

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Association led by President Rob Stinson attended the police funeral at BMO Field in Toronto Monday July 12, 2021 for Toronto Police Service Detective Constable Jeffrey Northrup. The veteran officer was killed in the line of duty last week. . The officer was remembered at his funeral Monday as a kind, gentle giant who loved his family deeply and was quick to lend a hand wherever he could. Detective Constable Northrup leaves behind his wife, mother, two sons and a daughter. 

Several tributes were posted online causing the hash tag #HeroesInLife to trend throughout Canada on Twitter.
