In person attendance at the funeral is by invite only. If you are in the local Manitoulin Island area, there is an opportunity to watch the funeral service livestream outdoors in your vehicle at
181 Harbourview Rd in Little Current, otherwise known as the Country-Fest Grounds. In keeping with COVID-19 precautions, attendees attending the Drive-In are required to register in advance by clicking on this
link to the radio station. Please note that the Drive-In capacity is limited to 200 vehicles.
PC Hovingh, of Manitoulin Detachment (in Little Current, Ontario), was killed in the line of duty on November 19, 2020 in Gore Bay, Ontario. Marc previously served at Apsley and Bancroft Detachments and the Manitowaning Satellite Detachment.
Marc is survived by his wife Lianne and children Laura, Nathan, Elena and Sarah.
