SUMMARY:Branch 10S Holiday Party/Gathering Funding-2026
DESCRIPTION:This year after careful assessment of the input of our branch members\, we are going to do a change from holding a central Holiday Dinner\, to that of funding local detachment/platoon/unit functions. \nThe Executive thanks all members who have continually supported our dinners\, they have always been great and an enjoyable time had by all. This change is important and we are hopeful that our members take advantage of what we are offering. Camaraderie amongst peers is so important for an organization like ours. The change of our support will hopefully add to the enjoyment of the holiday season\, and encourage fellowship amongst detachments\, platoons and units. \nEvery platoon\, unit or group will be encouraged to host their own/or collaborative member driven event. Members will be able to send a receipt as a group/individual for reimbursement. \nEligibility Requirements: \n\nBranch 10S Member – only 1 claim per (member allowed only 1 per year)\nHeld between 20th November 2026 – 6 January 2027\nA minimum of 4 eligible to claim members are required at each member driven event.\n$15 maximum each member. Member to submit claim with a receipt attached (1 member per event can submit all claims on behalf of involved)\n\nName/Badge/WIN required for each claim\, send to VP Kurt Weckwerth at vp@oppa.ca\nReceipts are encouraged to be sent right after your event; final deadline is 17 Jan 27.\n\n\n\nWhat/Where is not covered: \n\nAlcohol\nEvent being held in a location that is not considered reputable.\n\nWe are wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season. We know that $15 does not seem like much\, but we have a large base in 10S\, and we wanted to try and reach everyone to contribute in some small way.
