The world is being tested with unprecedented times and I, on behalf of the OPP Association Board of Directors, CAO and staff want to wish everyone who celebrate, a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

We wish to congratulate all OPP members for continually working diligently to serve and protect the citizens of Ontario. To those working over the holiday season away from family and friends, thank you for your holiday service in all kinds of weather and circumstances.

We are grateful to all dedicated OPP members who go above and beyond to serve our communities.  We hope you will take a moment to reflect on the difference you have made over the past year as you recognize your own successes.

Rest assured that the OPP Association will continue to work diligently to ensure our members have the best tools and working conditions possible so we can continue to help in keeping Ontario a safe and prosperous province for everyone.

We encourage you take a moment to reflect on a tough year where OPP members have stepped up to lead in our communities. Our OPPA Blog has 157 posts on it from 2021 that celebrate our members’ accomplishments together with our community stakeholders and communities at large. Please consider scrolling through at OPPA.ca/Media. We are happy to celebrate your success and welcome any suggestions for our communications in 2022 to communications@oppa.ca.

We acknowledge that the holiday season brings with it challenges for many, especially this year, given the state of the Covid-19 pandemic. We wish to remind our OPPA members and their families of the 24/7, 365 days per year Encompas Mental Health Wellness Program. The Care Managers are available full time over the holidays and are ready to serve your needs, including in a crisis. The Care Managers can be reached by calling 1-866-794-9117 or online at EncompasCare.ca.

We wish you all a holiday season full of celebration and lasting memories. Please stay safe.
