John served at Oakville, Long Point Provincial Park, Simcoe, Pembroke, Kirkland Lake and Owen Sound Detachments before retiring as Inspector from Mount Forest DHQ on November 30, 1987. John is survived by his wife Muriel and children, retired OPP Sergeant Joe Strba (Powassan), Melinda, Beverley, Kim and Val, his grandson active OPP Communications Operator David Strba (PCC North Bay) and predeceased by his son John (Jay).
