Paul served at Longlac and Apsley Detachments, London DHQ Communications Unit and Aurora DHQ Communications Unit before retiring as a Sergeant from Barrie Detachment on June 30, 2009. Paul is survived by his spouse, Andrea, his daughters, Jennifer, Rebecca, Alexandra and Gabrielle and his step-daughters Kendra and Julia.
