About the Session:

Child and youth mental health has been discussed frequently this past year, in light of the numerous changes in our daily lives as a result of the pandemic. The session will share information regarding available mental health services for children and youth. The goal is to answer commonly asked questions, including:

  • When should I reach out to a professional about my child or youth?
  • What supports are available to support my child or youth?
  • How do I access supports?
  • What do mental health services look like for my children or youth?
  • How are families involved in services and supports?

We will discuss commonly accessed services, including counselling and psychotherapy, psychoeducational assessment, behaviour supports, and specialized services.  A question-and- answer period will be held at the end of our talk.
