OPP Association Welcomes 131 New OPP Officers in Recruit Class 490

On June 4, 2021, 131 new OPP recruits were sworn in at a ceremony at Orillia.

OPP Association President Rob Stinson honoured to attend the graduation ceremony. The ceremony was very small and physically distanced, subject to a number of pandemic precautions. The OPP provided a video livestream that was broadcasted to family and friends who were unable to attend due to the pandemic.

On behalf of OPPA Board of Directors, staff & membership, welcome! OPP Recruit Class 490 class included 9 First Nations officers, 23 languages spoken & 16 countries of origin.
