Clifford served at Sudbury DHQ, Little Current, Blind river, Haileybury, Vandorf and Guelph Detachments and Niagara DHQ before retiring as a Staff Sergeant from Niagara Falls Detachment on April 30, 1978. Clifford is survived by his children Glenn, Anna and Bruce and predeceased by his wife, Olive.
