Mack served at Peterborough, Campbellford, Apsley, Lindsay Detachments and Anti-Gambling Branch before retiring as a Detective Staff Sergeant from Anti-Rackets Branch on March 22, 1986. Mack is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Retired OPP Constable Dean Rutherford (South Bruce), Retired OPP Inspector Mark Rutherford (GHQ), Son-in-Law Gene Osmond (Retired Toronto Police), grandsons OPP Special Constable Mackenzie Rutherford (Offender Transport East Region), OPP Constable Matthew Rutherford (DT/CSCU Investigator East Region), grandson-in-law OPP Constable Steve Hillier (DT/Investigator OCEB London), nephews OPP Retired Sergeant Robert Fleming (Essex) and OPP Retired Constable Donald Fleming (Central Region Canine Handler Barrie).
