Merle served at Sault Ste. Marie, Forest, Downsview, Gore Bay, Brighton, Picton and Sioux Lookout Detachments before retiring from Gore Bay/Mindemoya Detachment as a Senior Constable on November 30, 2006. Merle is survived by his wife Allison, and his children Michael, Amanda and Tyler.
