DONALD (DON) GELINAS, Badge #4025, passed away on March 1, 2015. Don served his whole career at the Barrie Detachment.  Don retired as a Constable on March 31, 1998.  Don is survived by his wife Sylvia and children Mark and Gerald.

Caretaker Michel Côté of Kaladar Detachment passed away on February 28, 2015.  Michel was a member of the OPP since July 9, 2001.  Michel is survived by his wife Yvonne and his children Jacob & Jaden.

VYTANTAS (ROBERT) DAMBRAUSKAS, Badge #3033, passed away on February 21, 2015.  Robert served his entire career at Caledon Detachment (formerly Brampton Detachment) before retiring as a Constable on December 31, 1995.  Robert is survived by his wife, Pat and children Robert and Patricia (Trish).

ELLIS STUART LOREE, Badge #1132, passed away on February 14, 2015. Stuart served at Port Arthur, Terrace Bay, Schreiber, Owen Sound, Sebringville Detachments and CIB before retiring as an Assistant Commissioner from Staff Services Division on December 31, 1982.  Stuart was the beloved husband of the late Irene Gobeil (1984) and the late Winona Nelson (2006).

PROVINCIAL CONSTABLE CURTIS GIRARD, Badge #7654 of Queen’s Park Security Bureau, Visibility Patrol on February 4, 2015. Curtis also served at Iroquois Falls, Sault Ste. Marie, Security Bureau (Lieutenant Governor’s Security Detail and Executive Security Unit), Southern Georgian Bay Detachment and Alcohol and Gaming Commission (Woodbine Casino).  Curtis is survived by his wife Wendy and children Winter, Colby, Willow and Clifford.

ANDREW (ANDY) DOBIE, Badge #2093, passed away on February 4, 2015. Andy served at Waterdown Detachment for a short period of time before going to the Burlington Detachment, where he served the balance of his career. Andy retired as a Constable on November 30, 1991. Andy is survived by his wife, Patricia and children Rick, Thomas and Gregory.

ROBERT (ROB) JAYNES, Badge #4556, passed away on February 4, 2015.  Rob served as an OPP Communications Operator from July 29, 1969 until March 21, 1971 when joined as an OPP Uniform Member.  Rob served his whole career at the Peterborough Detachment before retiring as a Constable on September 30, 2000.  Rob is survived by his wife, Mary and children Scott, Robert and Jeffrey.

JEAN PAUL (J.P.) RACINE, Badge #2267, passed away on February 4, 2015.  J.P. served at Sturgeon Falls, Criminal Intelligence Branch and Sudbury Detachments before retiring as a Staff Sergeant from North Bay on March 31, 1994.  J.P. is survived by his children Louise, Christine, Raymond, Monique and Stephanie, predeceased by his wife Anne Mary and son Jean Paul Jr.

RICHARD (RICK) SCHMIDT, Badge #5895, passed away on January 18, 2015. Rick served at Elmvale, Alliston, Barrie DHQ Traffic Unit and Barrie Detachments before retiring as a Constable from Huronia West on November 30, 2011.  Rick is survived by his sons Jeremy and Brett and daughter Brooke.

WILLIAM (BILL) JOHNSON, Badge #1539, passed away on January 2, 2015.  William served at Mount Forest DHQ, Mount Forest and Guelph Detachments before retiring as a Corporal from Meaford Detachment on November 30, 1985.  William is survived by his wife Anne and children David (Retired Sergeant Guelph Police), Karen, Paul (Retired OPP Detective Constable) and Daughter-in-law OPP Constable Alina Grelik of Chatsworth Detachment.
