OPP Association Celebrating National Police Week 2022 With Theme of “Connected to our Communities”
The OPP Association is celebrating Police Week from Sunday May 15th to Saturday May 21st, 2022.
The week will highlight the work done every day by our dedicated members that serve and protect the citizens of Ontario.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Connected to our Communities”
While traveling the province of Ontario meeting our OPPA members and community members, it is very evident to me that the connection of our dedicated members in partnership with the communities they serve is strong, and is strengthened further every day. These positive relationships are paramount to community safety.
We here at the OPP Association regularly hear about the excellent work done by our members , and we are happy to share those testimonials we receive on a regular basis on our public OPPA Blog and on 10-5 The Official Podcast of the OPP Association. I invite you to take a look and listen at these links.
Our members are always there for our citizens and we know that our citizens in Ontario are there to support us. Together we are stronger when we are ‘Connected to our Communities.’
This week there will be many celebrations throughout the province of Ontario that will bring together our citizens with our policing family.
I encourage you to attend an event in your area, share the various social media posts, and most importantly engage in a dialogue that strengthens our resolve to keep Ontario one of the best places to live, work and play in Canada.
On behalf of our members, our Board of Directors and our staff at the OPPA, Happy Police Week!
Rob Stinson, President
Ontario Provincial Police Association
