Registration is now open for the 2027 in-person and virtual pre-retirement seminars. The OPP Association (OPPA) in co-operation with OPP Management sponsor the seminars. These seminars will provide important information on, pension and termination entitlements, insured benefits, insurance options, financial tools available and ways to support member’s emotional well-being during the retirement transition.

Eligibility:

Members are eligible to attend the seminar when they are within five years of their earliest unreduced retirement date (EURD), i.e., Factor 90, 60/20, age 65, Factor 85 (Civilian Only) or 50/30 (Uniform only). Members are encouraged to register for their preferred seminar date as early as possible. Please keep in mind, members are prioritized for a seminar by their EURD.

Attendance:

On-duty time and transportation to attend the seminar will be covered by the OPP, however both must be pre-approved through the member’s Detachment Commander/Manager.

Accommodation:

The OPPA will cover the accommodation expense for members who are 60 minutes or more from the location of the seminar.
The expense must be pre-approved by the OPPA. Members who qualify and have not received an e-mail confirming the approval, should contact the OPPA Benefits Team via e-mail at benefits@oppa.ca.

Registration:

Please note registration for Pre-Retirement Seminars closes one week prior to the event.

Online registration is available on Memberlink. Please login using your OPPA website username and password, then click the “Events” drop down and select “List of Events”. Once members have registered online, our team will review the details to confirm eligibility.
Please note that your registration is not finalized until you receive a formal confirmation email from benefits@oppa.ca.  If nothing is received within 72 hours, members should check their junk/spam folders.
