The OPP Association congratulates the 100 new Provincial Constables and 12 First Nations Constables of OPP Class 523 who graduated at a ceremony held at Casino Rama in Orillia May 15, 2025.

OPPA VP David Sabatini was honoured to attend to welcome the new Constables in an address to the graduating class.

Congratulations to Class Valedictorian, OPP Provincial Constable Josh Pham, who delivered an excellent valedictory speech.

Josh is the son of OPP Provincial Constable Vu Pham, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in Huron County on March 8, 2010.

Josh’s father’s partner, Retired OPP Provincial Constable Dell Mercey, who was also shot at by the suspect in the same incident, presented Josh with his badge, along with current OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique and Retired OPP Commissioner Chris Lewis.

We wish all of the graduates and their families all the best for safe and fulfilling careers.
