We are excited to invite you to participate in the upcoming Mindfulness Ambassador Program (MAP) and Mindful@Work facilitator certification training, sponsored by the Advancing “WE” In Policing Ontario Working Group (AWIP). This exclusive 3-day (21 hour) certification training will prepare (and certify you) to facilitate two evidence-based mindfulness programs within your respective service and beyond. If you are looking to grow a culture of mindfulness in your service, or expand your current emotional intelligence and well-being training initiatives, this certification course is for you! It is open to all police professionals current and retired, military and first-responders. 

Training Dates and Locations:

  • London: Monday, May 26th – Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 (Hosted by London Police Service) 
  • Barrie: Monday, July 7th – Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 (Hosted by Barrie Police Service) 
  • North Bay: Monday, October 6th – Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 (Hosted by North Bay Police Service) 

Upon completion of this certification training you will be able to facilitate the Mindfulness Ambassador and Mindful @ Work programs at your respective service! 

Mindfulness Ambassador and Mindful @ Work Program Overview: Grounded in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and secular mindfulness practices, the 12-session Mindfulness Ambassador Program and 8-session Mindful @ Work program’s focus on core skill sets for optimal performance, reducing burnout symptoms, promoting overall well-being, and fostering a positive, compassionate culture. Participants of the programs will learn to train attention, reduce stress, manage emotions, collaborate effectively, navigate challenges, and enhance overall well-being. The program aims to cultivate mental and physical resilience, equipping participants to create and sustain inclusive, healthy work environments that support psychological wellbeing and while supporting DEIB development.

Registration Information:

The cost of this training is $750.00. 

AWIP and the team at Global Minds have put a business case together to support you in seeking organizational support and approval. Please advise if you would like to receive it to support your efforts. We plan on offering three sponsored training per calendar year, if your service would like to host a 2026 training please advise Tammy or Lisa, Co-Chair’s of AWIP.
